Formed in 1988, the "Robert St. John Band" has entertained audiences all over the Ark-La-Tex region and across the USA. Comprised all of accomplished musicians/entertainers, these seasoned veteran's of RSJ present a stylistically diverse, high energy show that one might expect to find only in Las Vegas. Performing funk/r&b/soul/classic rock/pop, RSJ can cater to any crowd. According to lead singer Scott Morton, "our diversity, and stage presentation are two key elements we use to keep this band busy with dates".

The "Robert St. John Band" is available for club gigs, corporate functions, weddings, bar mitzvahs, baptisms, street dances, television tapings of Saturday Night Live, The Jerry Springer Show, and Showtime at the Apollo.

RSJ has toured with and opened show's for some of the biggest act's out there. From REO Speedwagon,Black Oak Arkansas,Head East,Sly and the Family Stone,Stevie Ray Vaughn,Eddie Money and Pantera just to name a few, we have seen it all.

We know what it is to play in front of 25000 screaming fan's or a room of 200,it make's no difference,RSJ rock's out as if it were there last day on earth every show.

Fun Fun Fun last nite at Fat Jacks 25th Anniversary party. The most fun I have ever had performing there in 22 years. Crowd was awesome and overwhelming in showing its gratitude at the nights festivities. Now lets go do it another 25. Get ready for a all new "Robert St John Show" in 2010.

Another great fundraiser today thanks to the drawing power of the Robert St John Band. Raised several thousand dollars for a great organization, The Texarkana Humane Society. I love this group of animal lovers and their hearts are big. Thanks to Debbie Loveall for her hard work year after year to have a great silent auction. Also once again my band for giving of their time and talent. The great Libby Hart Barnes for making the trip from Austin to put on a smokin set with RSJ two nights in a row. She is a true performer and great vocalist! Thanks to the "PVC" Band for opening the show and performing in their second RSJ Animal House Fundraiser! This is hard work people, no band in this part of the country has helped people and animals in need when they need it without hesitation like this band has. Spay and Neuter folks , and love one another.....

Thought I would blog on the Texas High Class of 79 reunion last nite. Saw lots of great old friends and my long time buddy Chris Legrand performed with the band as his alter ego Mick Jagger and the crowd went nutz! A great event put on by a great group of people ,many I am proud to call friend. Too many to list here but oh how wonderful to enjoy those memories that they bring back! Well done Texas High Class of 79! Also thanks to my great old friend Cliff Carter for underwriting the performance of my band! And also Mark Patterson for his hospitality and generosity!

Last nite at Jacks, highest capacity ever. The door count was given up on after over 500 had passed thru the doors, another 150 estimated passed thru in the span of the evening! The show was totally free to the public (first time ever) and what a show it was. After the show ended at midnite the band came back on and poured out another hour set till 1:00am, exhausting but had a blast... Powered by Red Bull!

I usually dont blog on weddings we perform at,but the Carpenter wedding was as rockin as it can possibly get. I'm all out of clever lines to describe the show. But once again our band stepped up to be their best. It was very evident, the crowd went nutz and a show I will remember 4 some time. Thanks to all for their hospitality!

RSJ's return to "Fat Jacks" was great ,after being away 2 year's. Both show's were standing room only inside and out and the tight atmosphere made it all the more fun. Just like it used to be when I first talked Jack in to having band's over 20 year's ago. For those of you who were not around back then ,my band was the first to ever play Jacks and show him how great live band's were to have at his legendary bar.I'm proud to have been that guy.Jack is a great guy and a trusted friend and made it a wonderful homecoming. The rest is history... to be continued...

Off the hook at "Fat Jacks" Saturday nite after being away for over two year's.Saw a lot of face's from way back when.Standing room only made for a great show and the crowd response really made it fun!Thank's to the person who tried to sabotage the show by texting we were cancelled, it made our show even bigger! Thank's to Jack for the Limosine service to and from the show! St Paddy's Day will be even bigger and better! Ha, How?... RSJ

Kudo's to Perry Steitler who mixed RSJ's "Fat Tueaday Mardi Gras Party" last night at "SHOOTERS". It was the best sound I ever heard the band get, and that's a tough statement to make with all the great sound men we've had over the year's. The DVD is totally off the hook as we all gathered in Perry's suv after the show to watch and listen to it. Awesome large crowd made it a fun, fun, time! How much more of this can I take! RSJ

If you missed the show at "The Big Easy" Saturday night, you missed one of our great all time R & B show's. We did not play any rock at all. Just immortal classic's from the sixties by "Al Green" "Al Wilson" 'The Temptations" "O Jays" "Earth Wind and Fire" "Stevie Wonder" amd many many more. It was awesome hearing the exact band playing a heavy show just a week before at "Shooters", go blue eyed soul, Motown, and hard funk as if it was just a flick of the wrist. Like a on/off knob.In football this is what's called "depth"... These guy's are amazing. Our soaring popularity is proof of that.I think I'll toot our on horn...toot toot

Unbelievable night Saturday at "SHOOTERS". Standing room only before the show started, and the debut of some of our heavy material from year's past completely took the crowd by surprize. The band kicked off with STP's"Sex Type Thing" and without missing a beat exploded into Paul McCartney's "Live and Let Die"! The first set ended with the epic "Stranglehold" and then and only then was the crowd able to catch their breath. The band was red hot,one of those night's I'll probably remember for a while! I think we're on a roll...

I'm so proud of my band tonite as they raised $3062.00 for Mimi Campbell's Muttley Crew Rescue at "Shooters Sports Bar. Thank's to my brother Murray who did a great deal of the leg work and spent much of his on money to ensure this was a success. This is my calling to help all unwanted animal's and I love all my band member's who gave their time and talent. I love each and every one of you! God Bless you all! scotty RSJ
